Yak Yola is a Philadelphia, PA native rapper who just premiered their newest drill song, “Fall Back.” Yak Yola is on the rise to becoming one of the biggest artists in the city. In the last three months, the young artist has dropped 3 music videos as well as his debut album called 30 Story. Yola has songs with big names in the industry such as Doe Boy, G Herbo, and the late King Von. “Fall Back” has the potential to become a summer drill banger. Over his career, he has had some of his music videos reach almost 3 million views.
Yak Yola recently released 2 music videos for his songs “ Fall Back” featuring PGF Nuk and “Skrt off” featuring G Herbo. Yola has some of the hardest drill songs I’ve heard from a Philly artist. He has such a unique flow as well as hard-hitting lyrics. His song “Skrt Off” is about his love life, and how difficult is to fall in love. He can’t love a woman because he hasn’t found one to trust. In his most recent video “ Fall Back” he talks about him living his street life. The subject of the song is about how he has the sit back and think about his next move. He mentions that he always has to be conscious about what he’s doing.

Yak Yola’s music video with G Herbo called “Skrt Off” has a very dark glow to it. The video was shot by the creative group LVTRRAW. They did a great job of capturing the dark tone, feeling, and vibe of the song.
The music video for “ Fall back” has some crazy visuals in it. The video has a lot of elements from the song in it. With the subject of the song being to fall back and plan what you’re going to do next, the main location for the video seems to be in a room that almost looks like a space where you plan things out. Overall, these two songs have what it takes to be up next in the Philly drill/hip-hop scene.
