R&B singer-songwriter Xavier Omär who appeared on American Idol over twelve years ago has announced the release of his EP with artist ELHAE. The two artists felt that they should gift their fans with this EP after receiving so much love and support for their single “Favourite”.
Xavier Omär who is originally from the Bay Area in California but eventually moved to Texas, which is what he now calls home, grew up largely around music. He had even aspired to be a successful musician by the time he was 12 years old.

A Little Background
His father was also a minister and producer for music at church, and you can even hear some of this influence in Omär’s musical style. Other musical influences of Xavier Omär include that of Frank Ocean and John Legend.
Omär was first seen by the world when he aired on American Idol’s 11th season in 2012. Unfortunately for Omär, he was eliminated in the preliminary judging round. However, this rejection would fuel Omär’s determination to prove to the world that he had what it takes to make it big in the music industry.

Xavier Omär’s music career started to take off after he had this goal of proving American Idol wrong. After his elimination he had decided to invest in equipment to record and make music more seriously.
He dropped a single in June of 2016 called “Honest” and then dropped another single in December called “Blind Man (Gionna Lee Remix)”. Omär dropped another single in March of 2017 called “Afraid” with two tracks, “Afraid” and “No Way Out” which featured artist Goldlink.
Another single was released in September of 2017 called “Runnin’ Roun”. Then, Omär dropped his five-track EP later that year called “Pink Lightning” which featured that same single and also featured artist Leuca on the third track.
In 2018, he released quite a few more singles, those being “Sweet Holy Honey” which dropped in January in collaboration with artist Sango, “Stay There” which dropped in June in collaboration with artist Brasstracks, and “Blind Man” which dropped in July two years after his Blind Man remix was dropped, showing that the song was a masterpiece in the works
Omär even did a song with artist Anna Wise called “Easy” which was featured on the third season of the HBO series “Insecure”.

The year of 2019 would be a big one for Omär, starting with this single that he dropped in September in collaboration again with artist Sango called “Thief”. Following this, the two artists then dropped another single together in October called “What Do We Do?” which also features artist Parisalexa.
That same year, Omär dropped another single in December called “Weight off My Mind” in collaboration with artist Alex Wiley, featuring artist Mike Gao. Omär had two singles drop in 2020, the first in August called “So Much More” and the second in September called “All Our Time” featuring artist Jae Stephens.
Xavier Omär then dropped three singles and one EP in 2022, his single “Feelings 4 You” which dropped in May, his next single “Tarantino” which dropped in June, his six-track EP “b l u r r” which dropped in July and featured artists pat junior and Kyle Dion, and his final 2022 single “Peppermint Tea” which dropped in December and featured artist Alex Isley.
The year of 2023 was another big one for Omär with five singles dropped. “MAGIC!” was released in May. “SMILE” was released in June in collaboration with artists Ta-ku and DAISY WORLD, featuring artist ROMderful. “Favourite” was released in August with ELHAE which will be featured on the new EP. “Flowers (Remix)” was released in September in collaboration with artist Dende and “Some Days” was released in December in collaboration with artist Leuca who Omar collaborated with previously.

New EP
Xavier Omär now has his new EP that is set to drop on August 23rd in collaboration with artist ELHAE called “Truth Be Told”. There are five tracks total with two songs already being released, “Luv 4 U” and “Favourite”.
ELHAE tells Rated R&B in an interview about how he and Omär have been childhood bestfriends, as well as how it was very fun for the two of them to be able to bounce ideas off of each other. ELHAE even claimed that he thinks that Omär is one of the most talented R&B artists in the industry today.
Omär also added that the music came together very easily because of the chemistry that the two of them have and he hopes that fans will hear this as well when they listen to the music. He also adds that this EP was a way for the two artists to thank their fans for all of the love and support that they had received for their single “Favourite” that dropped a year ago.
