I’ve been a fan of Whipped Cream ever since I heard her track “Ignorant” on SoundCloud last year. Her creepy and cryptic productions are addicting, monstrous and unusual. Everything I like in bass music. The depth of this song felt life-like and goosebumpy; a nightmare of digital sound. For that reason, I knew I had to put in on this weeks edition of Sunday Slaps.
In the description of Drag Me, whipped cream left the following quote by Charles Dickens: “Suffering has been stronger than all other teaching, and has taught me to understand what your heart used to be. I have been bent and broken, but – I hope – into a better shape”
I’d say that about sums it up. Check out the track and let me know what you think. Whipped Cream also makes softer sounding tunes, like this remix of We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off. So if you don’t like this style of music, you might still find something else in her library that you enjoy.

Next up is a slapper with some rhythm and a funky hip-hop beat. Jameston Thieves is a straight up talented producer, who’s unrigid anti-genre approach has a uniquely appealing sound.
I draw a lot of inspiration from his experimentations, and I especially dig this hip-hop, experimental hybrid he has collaborated on with Abrax Abrax Phaeton. My perspective on the modern rap scene has been that it’s lacking, but when I hear tracks like this, I have to stop and ask myself if that’s really true.
This slapper only gets more slappin’ as it goes on. Abrax’s rhymes are smooth, and the drops are therapeutically filthy. Just the thing I need to top off a perfect Sunday. This is Robin, catch you next week with another episode of Sunday Slaps.
