LA-based artist Watrcup has just put out his second single of 2020, “Pray.” Following his previous single “Winterfriend,” “Pray” takes on an EDM and Pop vibe that’s highly distinguishable. This track also features vocals and production from Franskiiz, who makes his mark on this standout track. In “Pray,” Watrcup and Franskiiz tackle a whole new sound, and it’s impressive, to say the least.
This song isn’t the first time we’ve seen Watrcup and Franskiiz collab. This cut is different from previous collaborations like “Pluto,” “Hero,” and “Venus.” “Pray” creates a genre-bending sound that serves as a testament to Watr and Skiiz’s versatility. Both in production and vocals. The atmosphere of the song takes you on a journey filled with light, bass, and ear-vibrating synths. A collaboration between Watrcup and Franskiiz has never failed to disappoint, but “Pray” sets a new standard for what they can produce.

Watrcup & Franskiiz – “Pray”
“Pray” deals with the mentality of an individual that’s dealing with a breakup and hoping their partner will realize that their love isn’t gone. Watr conveys this energy over an elegant instrumental and genuinely makes the listener feel the emotion in the song. One could make an argument “Pray” tells a sad story, but it may also be discussing a happy one. The sonics of “Pray” conveys a strong sense of hope and happiness. You can feel that energy regardless if it’s on speakers or in headphones.
Their growth is becoming more apparent with every single they release. There’s seemingly no limit to what Watrcup and Franskiiz can achieve with their music. Through this is his second single of the year, Watrcup and Franskiiz are setting the standard for what they’ll be releasing throughout 2020.
