For the first time ever, USC Events announces a Bliss Stage for Lucky 2018.
Bliss Stage 2018 Line Up
Digital Ascension
Hometown favorite and resident DJ at Foundation and The Underground, Bobby Lilly will start out this blissful night. We recommend getting to Lucky early enough to catch this set!
Digital Ascension is a perfect act to start a night of trance with. Bobby does an unparalleled job removing your stresses and setting the vibe right with uplifting tunes.
Freedom Fighters
Welcome to the dark side of trance. If you went to FreakNight 2016, you may have caught a glimpse of the psychedelic vibe of Freedom Fighters. Shahaf Efrat has over ten years of experience with electronic music, and this talent shows with his many releases.
Producing for some of the biggest labels in trance like Iboga Records and Armada, his sound is unmistakable and prolific. Freedom Fighters has even reached Beatport #1 five times. Fans of bass genres will appreciate the cross-appeal with their tastes.
Giuseppe Ottaviani
Probably my personal favorite act at Bliss in 2016 was Giuseppe Ottaviani (GO.) GO is someone you absolutely cannot miss. It is uncommon to see electronic acts perform live on stage, and GO is one of these rare exceptions. He performs his Live 2.0 sets worldwide, and in a lot of cases, he posts the recording online afterwards.
Whispers around Seattle tell us that this will be the headlining act of the Bliss stage, and out of all of these artists, I see no better way to end the night. Prepare for feels to the max!
John Askew
Keeping the balance between light and dark in check, John Askew brings some amazing tech trance to the mix for the Bliss Stage at Lucky. His career has spanned two decades, so you know this will be a special talent!
Most fans of Future Sound of Egypt have probably heard his track Supersonic, as it was played out all over the world in 2016. John Askew has also done amazing things with Simon Patterson over the years, combining psy and tech with elegance. This is definitely one of the artists I recommend outsiders of the trance community to check out. Trust me, you will be thoroughly impressed.
Ørjan Nilsen
We’re incredibly stoked to see this Norwegian superstar in Seattle again. Initially billed for Lucky 2017, Ørjan Nilsen unfortunately missed the festival due to illness. USC promised that he would return soon, and thankfully, we’ll get to see him at this year’s installment of the festival!
Ørjan knows how to play a set that amps a crowd up. I highly recommend people who would normally venture to the mainstage to come and see his performance. He has numerous releases on Armada, and each performance is truly a fun and energetic experience.
Robert Nickson
Fellow Norwegian and prolific connoisseur of Pure Trance, Robert Nickson joins this phenomenal lineup. Most known for his uplifting and euphoric sounds, this artist has graced the decks of clubs and venues around the world, leaving crowds in a state of sheer bliss. It is no wonder USC added him to the Bliss Stage! You can expect to have a permanent smile stuck on your face seeing this artist perform.
Sneijder
Yet another master of the dark arts has been billed for this unique show! Sneijder missed Bliss last year due to illness, so what better way to make up for that than seeing him at the Bliss Stage this year?
Since this act plays some of the darkest and deepest trance around, we highly recommend bassheads add this artist to their list as well. For trance lovers, though, we add extra stars to this name, as he is a rare treat for Seattle.
Will Atkinson
I consider only a handful of artists to be at the level of “Trance God”, and Will Atkinson is one of those artists. I haven’t seen a live performance of his yet, so for me personally, this is the set I’m looking forward to most. Rarely can an artist balance euphoria and darkness in a track, yet most of Will Atkinson’s releases execute this with perfection. My favorite production last year was his remix of Without You by Dogzilla, and if the track he has teased on Facebook is played at Lucky, you’ll be sure to reach trance heaven.
As a huge fan of trance, this year’s lineup is impressive and incredibly balanced. There is a good amount of psytrance, a nice helping of uplifting, and phenomenal tech trance in between. Unfortunately, this does mean that Bliss will not be a standalone any longer, as confirmed by USC on Facebook.
We are extremely happy that USC has brought new life to the Bliss brand. As a result, this will be your best chance to check out trance vibes at a USC festival this year. You can guarantee that we’ll be on this stage all night if you happen to miss any second of it!
Tickets are on sale starting Tuesday, January 30th. You can find out more information from the festival’s website.
