German rapper Ufo361 has teamed up with Quavo for his new song and video “VVS”. While hearing the due on the song is a strange matchup, the artists compliment each other well as they both share a similar sound and flow.
While it’s quite rare to see American and European artists collaborating, Virgil Abloh and Boyz Noize teamed up not too long ago as well. With the addition of Ufo361 and Quavo teaming up, it’s possible that a new trend might be starting.
One of the most interesting elements in “VVS” is heard with Ufo361’s vocals heard completely in German, while Quavo raps in English. While the idea of having multiple languages heard on one song may seem too different, it surprisingly works as an advantage.
This is due to both artists sharing the same melodic flows. In addition, the laid-back trap style of the instrumental fits the vocal schemes of both artists perfectly as well.

Hopefully this new collaboration will spark future projects with American and European artists. The thought of cross-collaborating between languages and styles is highly interesting. Especially for all music fans, being able to discover new names while hearing their favorite artists is intriguing to say the least; and much needed.
