Tug Harris is a West Coast-born rapper out of Washington who has recently released a new single and music video for their new song “Acid Rain.” Growing up, the artist enjoyed the arts as well as science. When it came time for them to go to college, he attended the University of Washington. At UW, he graduated with an English Literature Degree. With this degree, it’s almost natural that he started rapping. After graduating, Tug built their working career around photography and video production.
With a career in video production and photography, they were able to get their foot in the door of the music industry. Tug found himself working with an artist by the name of Malcolm Rebel (RIP.) The responsibilities Tug had were music video production as well as capturing photos and videos for Malcolm’s Instagram. Malcolm Rebel’s Passing took a big toll causing him to lose his way from what he was doing for a while. A few years later, Tug is back in the swing of things and ready to create more than ever. The rapper recently dropped their debut studio album titled “Imaginary Monsters” and has continued to drop singles throughout 2022.
Tug
Tug’s most recent release is a single called “Acid Rain” and is the most excited he’s been about a release to date. In the song, the rapper/vocalist talks about his journey of the battle between his mind and his heart. This fight explores the idea of being productive and thinking in the future versus stepping back and focusing on the healing process of their own pain. This subject is very relatable because it’s something that everyone goes through. Tug Takes inspiration from artists like Post Malone, Mac Miller, and Juice Wrld.
