We are amply stoked for our Hoopfest Kick-off June 29th, as we’ll be featuring our golden-boy, T.S The Solution. Spokane resident for over three years now, this UW supporter has bars that will lock you down harder than your baby mama. The Solution will be rocking with support from Seattle’s La Fonda, The Naturalystics, and Marshall Law Band.
In the past eight years, T.S The Solution has rocked festivals and venues all over Washington and dropped three tapes. His most recent EP titled, “Purple in Spokane,” reflects on his time spent in the Tacoma/Seattle area as a student and how his life started over again when relocating to Spokane. You can scope a little blurb we did on the EP back in 2016 when it was released, HERE.
The Solution is accompanied by a live bass player (J Mac), a hype man (Yung Crown), and DJ (M- Pyre) who is our own Mitch Pfeifer. The addition of a bassist and the charismatic persona of Yung Crown creates a more personal, engaging performance. The kind that sets The Solution far apart from the norm of other rappers. This crew is also known as indie label and artist collective, Panoramic Dreams.
With the intent of wetting his fan’s pallets with the release of his EP back in 2016, The Solution put out a single on all major platforms last year titled, “Too Easy.” Scope our thoughts on that single HERE. His most recent banger features fellow MC, Lou Era, titled “G.O.” You can stream that fat track below and thank me later.
If you’ve had eyes on T.S The Solution at any point over the past several years you can plainly see—the kid is growing. These aren’t the same bars and production you hear back on “Sleepwalking” in 2014. With the last two singles that The Solution has dropped, I’ve heard a drastic upswing in the dude’s vision, drive, and confidence. Even his delivery and wordplay have gotten better.
He’s calling out culture vultures that don’t have what it takes to play this game and win. He’s making it look “too easy,” and he knows it and it’s reflected in the sound. Personally, I’m intrigued as hell to see what he busts out during his set at Hoopfest. You know he’s gonna drop some new heat and (more than likely) leave everyone hungry for more.
