It’s already known that many Trulieve employees and patients are not happy with the Florida cannabis mogul. This is partly due to Trulieve’s slimy CEO as well as the unfair working conditions. But aside from walkouts and boycotts there hasn’t been much other major action taken towards the company. That is until this situation arose. On Wednesday, two Trulieve Midway distribution facility employees were caught and arrested after they stole 10,000 grams of marijuana.
10,000 Grams of Trulieve’s Medical marijuana Is Worth Upwards of $135k
This amount, which is equivalent to over 22 pounds, is worth upwards of $135,000. Of the 10,000 grams, officials recovered 75% of it in Gadsden County and the rest in Leon County.
Trulieve’s loss prevention officials contacted Gadsden County officials and they investigated the situation. This led to the arrests of Marquis Brown and Sammy Carter on Wednesday, August 25th. They are now in jail in Gadsden County.

Officials Recovered 100% of The Medical Marijuana Stolen
According to Tallahassee Democrat, GCSO Spokeswoman Anglie Holmes states, “based on the investigative interviews and information received from both subjects, the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office was able to recover 100% of the 10,000 grams of medical marijuana and turned (it) back over to Trulieve.”
This wasn’t the first arrest connected with Trulieve’s Midway facility, though. Although it was on a much smaller scale, in February 2020 a Trulieve employee was charged with stealing and selling marijuana from the same facility.
