It was all good just a week ago, and it’s getting better. Travis Thompson is heating up in album mode. Fans were treated to new music with “Crossfaded” just a few short weeks ago. Now Travy turns up the burner with his newest single “Parked Cars” featuring KYLE and Kota The Friend.
It’s safe to say the Burien-bred rapper continued to elevate his craft over quarantine. In a recent interview with Besa Gordon on Converge Media, Thompson said the unexpected year-off from touring provided ample time to improve his songwriting and catalog. By the polished textures throughout “Parked Cars,” I’d say he’s most certainly done that.
Travis has been a shining star from the Pacific Northwest where the city of Seattle usually emits the pulse of the culture. When his DIY grind landed him a label deal with Epic, the city knew someone special was en route. Linking up with KYLE and Kota The Friend for “Parked Cars” will bring new listeners to a party we’ve been kicking back at for a while now. Score one for the Upper Left.
