Malitia Malimob has had a long road to becoming an international rap beacon. The Somalian born hip-hop group immigrated to Seattle many years ago in search of a better life and that they found. They’ve since put on for both the Seattle hip-hop scene and the Somalian community as a whole. Classics like ‘Mob Mix’ and ‘S.O.S.’ have clocked well over 100k views each and the group provides the Pacific Northwest region a sound they’ve never heard.
With one half of the original group fresh out of a multi-year bid, Chinoo has been holding it down for the group. Self-proclaimed, MaliMob is more than a person or group, it’s a movement. A quick look at their YouTube videos and social media will show their international fanbase of Somalians in the US and abroad. Recently the ‘Dum Dum’ music video caught viral attention while being shot. Big Capo stopped by The Break Podcast to discuss the incident and the secret service visiting his house.
This May, we’re bringing Malitia MaliMob to The THESIS in Portland Seattle.
