The Gravities are a soul-groove band that hails from San Diego California Founded by Isaac Guerra, who sings lead vocals and plays drums. Samuel Pierce is the co-founder and plays guitar and sings back up vocals. They’ve been making music and playing shows together for six years. Soul-groove is a mix of hip-hop, R&B, reggae, and jazz. They released their latest record “The Grey Cuts” last week on Aug. 8.
“The Grey Cuts” is my first foray with “The Gravities,” and this album takes me back to a different time. This record is easy listening, smooth as butter, and the sounds that spawn babies. The genres are blended in a way that feels familiar and fresh at the same time.
The stand out track on the album is “Until Next Time,” the last track on the album that’s about the power of change, staying on the move, and keeping your mind clear of stress by chasing your dreams wherever they take you.
