I’ve had the opportunity to sample a few different products from Harmony Farms since 502 became a reality. Kosher Kush is a completely new strain to me. “Excessive giggling may occur” and “this product may cause munchies” are both included on the standard warning label. Both of these warnings piqued my interest. A pure indica strain with OG Kush genetics. Kosher Kush is also the 2011 High Times Cannabis Cup winner for best indica according to Cannabis Cup Winners. These factors all increased my excitement as I got closer to smoking.
Upon opening the jar a familiar smell filled my apartment, even the appearance of the weed mirrored some of the OG Kush nugs I’ve seen. As I poured the weed out of the jar small dense nugs filled my hands. A familiar green tint was the first thing that I noticed. Upon closer inspection I found in the absence of amber hairs were millions of trichomes all over. Trying to decide how I wanted to smoke this was quite the struggle.
My first hit tasted absolutely amazing. The second tasted just as good. It wasn’t until the third big rip that the taste started to fade. I planned ahead and put a pizza in the oven. My pizza was finished shortly after I polished off the bowl. The high was spacey and extremely relaxing. Pain in my hamstrings instantly disappeared. A relaxed feeling took over my entire body as I melted into my couch.
Kosher Kush might not be the strain I pick to smoke on my pre-Thanksgiving walk. The holiday is still too far away to make that decision, but it could definitely kickstart a binge eating marathon.
