Lewie, arguably the hottest hip-hop artist from Tacoma, has made a breakthrough into the cannabis industry with his latest venture, KushHouse. The company, named after the place where Lewie and the MKF crew started doing music, has its roots firmly planted in Tacoma’s east side. KushHouse was the place where Lewie and MKF created their foundation, catering to music and cannabis lovers.
The KushHouse was known throughout Tacoma for its legendary smoke sessions and the place where you heard some of the hottest music out of the Tac before it was released. These sessions provided a window into the world of the streets of Tacoma and aspirations to rise from the ashes through MKF’s music.
After years of operating in the music industry, Lewie and his crew decided it was foolish not to create a lane in the cannabis industry, given their background in Tacoma. The brand name KushHouse just made sense due to its connection not only with cannabis but their origins in the region and stepping stones to where Lewie is at now. This new venture will be launching this March exclusively at Zips, Washington’s largest cannabis dispensary retailer, and in collaboration with cultivation partner Thunder Chief Farms.
Lewie’s background in music marketing has helped him to cross-promote and bring his company to new heights that Washington may never have seen before. Lewie’s move into the cannabis industry is groundbreaking, as he is possibly the first hip-hop artist from Tacoma of his generation to take such a step.
KushHouse is looking to bring a unique aspect to the Washington State i502 recreational market mixing the worlds of cannabsi and music while staying true to their local roots. The products will be placed into high-quality reusable Re:Stash jars which will stand out at retail and provide customers with a jar to store future weed purchases in as well.
Lewie’s journey hasn’t been without its challenges, as his music and the MKF crew have been under scrutiny from Tacoma police. However, despite this, Lewie has pushed forward with his dream of creating a cannabis company that reflects his passion for music and marijuana. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Lewie and his crew as they continue to grow KushHouse and bring their unique perspective to the cannabis industry.
