Taane Jr Releases Debut Solo Mixtape “Rugby Shorts”

Taane Jr was previously one-half of the satirical hip-hop duo, Slightly Flagrant. His partner in rhyme, Macntaj, released his mixtape Trappy Gilmore in February, which featured Taane on the song, “Russ.” Now, he has dropped his debut project as a solo artist titled, Rugby Shorts.

In the mixtape, Taane takes beats from recent projects by Gunna, Offset, Lil Pump, Tyga, and Ski Mask the Slump God. His selection of beats perfectly accents his deep bass vocal tone. Using catchy new school flow patterns, his rhymes show his unique perspective on life. Proving my thought process that new music doesn’t suck, it’s just lacking on lyrical originality.
