Ella Vos has been making waves on Soundcloud since 2016 when she put some super silky vocals over a glitchy EDM song produced by Just A Gent. She’s then put out a single “White Noise,” about her experiences with motherhood that hit the top of viral charts within two weeks of its debut. “White Noise” has now seen over 22-million streams on Spotify, and was on the tracklist for her debut album, Words I Never Said, in 2017. That same debut album has independently ran up over 200 million streams currently.
The Los Angeles artist most recently put out a gorgeous EP under the name Watch and Wait in January of 2019. This record showcases Vos’ ability to create soothing, yet poppy and melodic vocal soundscapes amidst deeply honest content. Each song has an innate drive that underneath conveys the emotional roller-coaster of her experience going through her diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma. She will be taking her lyrical honesty and strong pop sensibilities to this year’s edition of SXSW down in Austin, TX.
If you want to hear some seriously dreamy vocals and catchy booms and baps, find Ella Vos making moves at SXSW March 14th at the Palm Door on Sixth. Otherwise, Vos will be heading on tour for the Watch and Wait EP following SXSW. She’ll be making appearances at several locations across the US from the end of March and all through April.
Stay tuned for a potential exclusive interview with Ella Vos while RMR is at SXSW this year!
