Vegan cannabis is an interesting concept. Having pesticides and fertilizers that are cruelty-free does appeal to me so I picked up an eighth of some Washington Glue out of curiosity. Sunshine Farms advertises on their packaging that they are vegan and cruelty-free. I have not previously had any experience with their products but my hope is that these things do not take away from the quality of the cannabis.
Their eighths come in packaging that appear to be very similar in size to what some companies would sell a gram in. Has Sunshine Farms found an effective way to minimize their environmental impact?
Washington Glue is a 60/40 indica hybird strain. According to the Sunshine Farms website, “Washington Glue is the result of a lucky phenotypic variation in Gorilla Glue #4.” These nugs are not a heavy shade of green and long orange hairs scatter throughout the buds. They are not translucent like in some strains. Trichomes do appear on the nugs but they are not as noticeable as you see in high-end cannabis.
Cedar and citrus notes greeted my nose when I opened the bag. Once I smoked the Washington Glue, it seemed like my thoughts slowed down. Time felt as if it was crawling. When I finally gained control of myself, I determined that Sunshine Farms takes extra special care of their plants. Do not smoke this strain if you are planning on doing anything besides sitting on the couch with your significant other.
