Lyrical Lemonade’s Summer Smash is back with its 6th installment of their annual Festival. The largest independent hip-hop festival in the world takes place June 14-16th at SeatGeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois. On Thursday via social, they dropped their official lineup. Headlining acts will include Travis Scott’s label ‘Cactus Jack’, Playboi Carti, and the homecoming of Chicago legend Chief Keef. This performance will mark the first time Chief Keef has performed in the Chicago area in over a decade.
Festival co-founder Berto spoke about the anticipation of Chief Keef’s homecoming performance. “It’s going to be a historic moment in Chicago music history when Sosa returns home to perform at Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash”. The last time Chief Keef was scheduled to perform in Chicago was back in 2012, which was as an opener for a Meek Mill performance. The show was shut down due to safety concerns around Chief Keef and his crew. Sosa’s crew won’t be the only group to hit the stage together.
Travis Scott will be bringing the entire Cactus Jack family with him to headline night one. Members of the label include Don Toliver, Sheck Wes, SoFaygo, and Chase B. This year’s installment looks to be just as monumental as the inaugural event.
