Sonido Global Sabor - 1.18.2023

Artists That Will Add Sabor to Your Weekend | Sonido Global

The ever-evolving landscape of Latin and Hispanic music has some more lit hits for y’all in our latest Sonido Global selections! These are just the type of jams that’ll add pure sabor to your playlist. Speaking of playlists, be sure to check ours out on Spotify of this week’s song choices as well as previous picks.

Young Miko & Bizzarap “Young Miko: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 58”

Bizzarap’s done it again with another fire collab video set in his personal studio with dope lighting and effects. This session is with the talented Puerto Rican trap artist Young Miko who continues to blaze trails in the game. Her flow’s undeniably smooth and her wordplay stays clever as hell. Not to mention, Bizzarap’s beats are too good and complement Young Miko’s cadence perfectly.

Kali Uchis & Peso Pluma “Iqual Que Un Ángel”

This release with a Spanglish intro is so dreamy both sonically and visually. Kali Uchis & Peso Pluma give ’70s disco lounge vibes in “Iqual Que Un Ângel,” and the retro/modern fusion is so well done. Also, you have got to give props to Kali Uchis for performing like the fly baddie that she is while pregnant. Love to see it.

Anitta & Melody “Mil Vezes (Remix)”

The Brazilian and Spanish pop princesses come together for a delicate but upbeat bop. The percussive beats are very rhythmic and easy to dance to. The way Anitta and Melody complete and support each other’s voices throughout the song is a testament to both of their vocal talents. Undoubtedly, they are able to keep up with each other and the pacing of the song beautifully and effortlessly.

Yandel “Karma”

¡Feliz Cumpleaños a Yandel! A birthday present to himself and his fans, “Karma,” has got that classic reggaeton sound we know and love. The reggaetonero preaches the truth on toxicity in relationships and how hard they can be to escape. The video is reflective of this message with the cat and mouse-type chase that goes on throughout the whole production.

Bulin 47 & Myke Towers “LA TRANZA”

These two Latin wordsmiths really know how to bounce off each other’s words as they cohesively bring this song together. Not only are the lyrics infectious, but the way their easy going and fun personalities pop make the tune that much more enjoyable. The music video shows off pure luxury with Bulin 47 and Myke Towers spitting their bars poolside next to lavish vehicles.

Emilia & Nathy Peluso “JET_Set.mp3”

Genre? Emilia and Nathy Peluso don’t know her, and that’s what exactly what embodies Latin urban sounds. The mix of pop, electronic, hip-hop, and reggaeton tones makes this a track that anyone could love. Much like the song’s sound, the music video is a fusion of styles, but more so Kill Bill meets The Matrix. Not that it wasn’t already apparent throughout the whole music video, but the adorable BTS clips at the end only further prove the fun chemistry between these two.

Junior Zamora “Hielo”

Junior Zamora slows it down for us with some smooth and silky Latin R&B sure to be perfect for your next night in. The singer is really able to put his heart on his sleeve with his delivery, as his falsetto pitches come straight from the soul. Clearly, the music video is just as moody as the song. There’s shots with dim lighting and a dark ambiance that make for a really artistic creation.

Daymé Arocena “A fuego lento (feat. Vicente García)”

A jazzy hit, Daymé Arocena and Vicente García give a more laidback approach with some R&B vibes mixed in. This is the kind of music video where even if you don’t understand the lyrics, I’m pretty sure you can get an idea of the theme. For those of you that have been in that kind of sexy and passionate but also loving relationship, you’ll be sure to relate to the mood that this sultry ballad gives.

Mariana BO “Boys Choir”

I had to include this hardstyle bass house smash by Mexican DJ, Mariana BO. I can already easily picture this trancey sensation in the grungiest of rave scenes as well as huge and elaborate festival productions. While there is no official music video, we can still appreciate this colorful visualizer that’s trippy and hard as hell.

Chanel & FMK “Ahora Que No Te Tengo”

The seventh track to Chanel’s freshly released album, ¡Agua!, “Ahora Que No Te Tengo” is a somber bachata melody about the difficulties of letting a relationship go. When a relationship’s been over, it still may not make walking away and cutting ties any easier. Chanel expresses that symbolically as she’s tied into countless threads in the video. This collaboration with FMK has both artists effortlessly showing emotion and heartache, and that’s how you know they’re speaking from the heart.

Don’t forget, we’ll keep coming at you with biweekly updates on the best harmonic sabor in the Spanish-speaking world. So, be sure to check back on our Sonido Global listicle series to get the best of the best!
