These last two weeks have been crazy! While the RMR team was out at Hall of Flowers and Boston Cannabis Week among other events, several DJs stepped up to the plate. We’ve restocked our EDM Fresh Drops playlist with brand-new Dubstep, House, Jungle, and more from both basshead house-names and up-and-comers alike. You aren’t going to find a Spotify EDM playlist that’s as consistently updated and carefully curated as our Fresh Drops playlist.
There’s a lot to check out this week, and you can find it all in a true random shuffle at the bottom of this article. If you’re a club banger collector, be sure to scour our previous lists to see what was on the rise throughout 2021. For now, here’s five tracks on the EDM Fresh Drops playlist that set the precedent for our bass-loaded collection.
Brand-New EDM Hits on the Respect My Region Fresh Drops Playlist
Slushii – All I Need (VIP Mix)
Future Bass/Hard Techno
In an unexpected yet monumental move, Slushii re-released one of his biggest songs to date. There’s a good chance you’ve already heard the original version of “All I Need,” noting its 14 million plays on YouTube and 27 million on Spotify. Rocket League players are the most familiar with the track, as it served on Monstercat x Rocket League (2020), one of several soundtrack partnerships between Monstercat and Epic Games.
Some noteworthy differences between the VIP mix of “All I Need” and the original can be chalked up to genre shifts. The track started off as a clearly Techno-influenced House beat. Groovy and fun, it almost feels sluggish now compared to the new counterpart. The tempo is kicked up to a Hardcore BPM, and drops are introduced to the mix. The song conclusively takes on several different styles, including Trap, Future Bass, and Trance-like elements.
IMANU, HYPRESSION – Buried
Tech House/Chemical Breaks
It’s no secret that RMR is pretty picky with our House music. For that reason, when we say that “Buried” by IMANU and HYPRESSION is A-tier, you’d better believe it. Granted, this track is particularly uncanny, which gives it an edge. The song opens up slower and deeper to demonstrate dynamic potential. When the drums and bass kick in, it hits you like an auditory wall. The rest of the track washes over you with psychedelic glory and furious, digital beauty.
IMANU and HYPRESSION are both new names on the EDM Fresh Drops playlist, but they’re no strangers. IMANU is a go-getter, previously appearing on several labels and setting trends in the DnB community before hitting his twenties. Today, he continues to innovate alongside his label, DIVIDID. HYPRESSION, however, is a certainly newer DJ well on their way to notoriety. You can find an already abundant discography under their name packed with harder House and Breaks tracks much like “Buried.”

capshun – Morph
Future Bass
Masterfully ominous and alien, “Morph” is a menacing and beautiful song. capshun previously appeared on our EDM Fresh Drops playlist alongside Goodnight. on “Senses,” another Future Garage piece. It’s safe to say that “Morph,” by comparison, is a much more exciting track though. We can attribute this to the simple fact that the synths and drums in “Morph” inspire a much more invigorating sound, especially being absent of sad boy vocals like those heard in “Senses.”
One thing is for sure, either way: we definitely wanna see capshun keep growing. He may still be a newer member of the scene, but he’s already found approval from The Chainsmokers, San Holo, and Boombox Cartel among others. Despite his discography dating back to 2017, caphsun has already released a few dozen singles and EPs which you can dive into to get a taste for his sound.
Phace – Lewk
Neurofunk/Darkstep
The wrath of the EDM Fresh Drops playlist is revealed the most on our Jungle tracks. This week, Phace blessed up with some true evil, and we simply have to get this song out there. “Lewk” is a Darkstep woodchipper that inspires utter fury in the listener. Playing this Phace masterpiece will turn any ordinary room into a portal to hell – demons not included, sadly.
We already witnessed Phace’s abilities alongside Affe Maria on a vastly different track. “PLAISIR PLAISIR” appeared on the Fresh Drops playlist in early summer as a stunning atmospheric Jungle beat. Seeing Phace make a return with a track like “Lewk” truly demonstrates his ability to dominate the Jungle soundscape, whether it’s a spacey Microfunk beat or a gut-shredding Neurofunk project. Any Junglist reading this would do well to throw our Hamburg homie some love.
NGHTMRE, Smokepurpp – MOSH (Kumarion Remix)
Pendulum
Talk about a one-up… for real. The original “MOSH” by NGHTMRE and Smokepurpp is a standard Trap rap club-thrower. Kumarion saw that energy, cranked up the tempo, and then dropped it into a Jungle pot. The result is an even angrier, hyper faux Trap mallet turned pendulum machete.
As a matter of fact, there’s two Kumarion remixes on our Fresh Drops playlist. At the time of writing this, you can also check out his clever take on 12th Planet and Virus Syndicate’s genocidal Brostep hit “Supernova.” It would appear that everything Kumarion touches turns into a brain-melting Drum n Bass machine. Let’s not let this wizard fall by the wayside, because he already made astronomical impressions with his chart-stealing single “Want It,” and it’s likely he’ll hit that level of fame again.
