U.K based rapper Slowthai has teamed up with Denzel Curry for his new single titled “Psycho.” Over the past few years, both artists have seen their careers explode. They each share incredibly similar styles. This can be seen with their hard-hitting delivery paired with beats that equal the high energy that they bring to each track. With that said, it was inevitable that they would eventually collaborate with one another.
Before the vocals are even heard, the instrumental takes center stage as a shrill string lead takes everything over. With the song being titled “Psycho,” the strings give a respectful nod to the original film score for Alfred Hitchcock’s infamous film Psycho.
Both Slowthai and Denzel Curry don’t disappoint on the track. They bring an insane amount of energy to the song – so much that their rapping is mixed with screaming. While they do have a very particular style, their latest release demands attention from any hip-hop head without question.
