Regarded as the Best Music Festival in North America, Shambhala returns to Salmo River Ranch in British Columbia on July 22-25. The 23rd annual Shambhala Festival presents a diverse multi-genre lineup featuring hundreds of artists performing across six stages. Between the stacked lineup, beautiful venue and campgrounds, and welcoming community of music lovers, Shambhala guarantees a top-notch festival experience year after year; and the 2022 edition will be no exception.
Shambhala Festival 2022
This year’s lineup features Shambhala’s signature blend of genres, with artists both big and small across house, dubstep, bass, funk, drum and bass, trap, hip-hop, experimental, and more. Headliners include Channel Tres, Chris Lake, Clozee, Cordae, Valentino Khan, What So Not, Slander, Mr. Carmack, Subtronics, Chris Lorenzo, TOKiMONSTA, and more.
Other exciting names set to perform at Shambhala 2022 are A Hundred Drums, Of The Trees, Manic Focus, Dr. Fresch, Virtual Riot, Walker & Royce, Dion Timmer, amongst dozens of others. Additionally, must-see undercards include VEIL b2b NotLö, Black Carl!, and Mythm.
Over a hundred more artists are still yet to be announced.
Shambhala Festival Stages
Shambhala’s unparalleled production touts larger-than-life stages, distinctive structures, state-of-the-art projection mapping, and cutting-edge sound systems. Managed by their own directors, each of the six stages brings a unique live music experience to the four-day festival.
The Amp
The Amp is where “bass is the basis.” This stage is at the downtown core of Shambhala, making it a hub of activities day and night. Those taking the Amp stage this year include Mr. Carmack, What So Not, Tsuruda, and dozens more.
Fractal Forest
Fractal Forest is where “the funk lives.” This stage is a “magical journey on a mothership through space, time and the universe of all things funky.” This year you’ll find Walker & Royce, Valentino Khan, Defunk, Joanna Magik, and more performing at Fractal Forest.
The Grove
The Grove is “home of the gnomies” and features artists like Channel Tres, Cordae, Mystic State, and Blockhead in 2022. Alongside the Grove Art Gallery, Tea Hive, and Cedar Lounge, this stage lies deep in the Shambhala forest surrounded by lush scenery and a fully interactive environment.
The Living Room
The Living Room is a beach stage located along the Salmo River. “Many people call Shambhala ‘home’ and every home has a Living Room: A comfort space where you can relax and host friends and family. We continue to bring groove-based dance music to the beach.” In 2022, the Living Room features Greg Wilson, Mark Farina, Miguel Migs, and more.
Pagoda
A seven-story house, the Pagoda stage is a “temple of myth, lore, and legend.” Artists performing on the Pagoda stage this year include Chris Lake, Boogie T, Cloonee, Kasablanca, Manic Focus, and more.
The Village
Lastly, the Village stage is home to all things bass. This area presents “an immersive environment that weaves through intricately decorated paths that further connect into the treehouse walkways of your childhood dreams.” This year, you’ll find Just a Gent, Dirt Monkey, SoDown, and more at the Village.
