The weather is warming up, days are getting longer, flowers are starting to bloom, and festival season is just around the corner. As Spring and Summer creep closer, don’t wait to start planning for your tickets and travels. More importantly, don’t miss out on Punk in the Park: a traveling music and beer festival by Brew Ha Ha Productions.
Punk in the Park will kick off just outside San Francisco at Cow Palace in Daly City. An all-ages event occurring on May 4th, attendees will experience performances by legendary punks such as Descendents, Black Flag, T.S.O.L., the Vandals and more. 21+ guests will enjoy 100+ craft beverage offerings from local and regional breweries.
About the Venue
Located at 2600 Geneva Ave on the border of San Francisco and Daly City, the Cow Palace boasts an illustrious history. Originally opened in 1941 for the purpose of agricultural festivals, the arena quickly became a place to process soldiers when WW2 broke out. After the war, it was reopened to the public to host political conferences, sporting events and roller derby matches. Eventually it would become host to some of the most famous bands of all time, including the Beatles, the Doors and Fleetwood Mac. The indoor arena will ensure that the festival occurs rain-or-shine, and offers a large paid parking lot for all visitors.
About the Artists
Punk in the Park 2024 will host some of the most legendary punk bands of all time. These bands each left an indelible mark on the genre with their distinctive sounds and rebellious ethos. Descendents emerged in the late 1970s, pioneering the melodic hardcore sound and influencing countless bands. The Vandals, formed in the early 1980s, bring humor and irreverence to punk, blending catchy melodies with satirical wit. TSOL (True Sounds of Liberty) rose to prominence in the LA punk scene, known for their dark and gothic style. Finally, Black Flag epitomize hardcore punk with their intense live performances and confrontational lyrics. Together, these bands defined the essence of punk rock. They inspire generations of musicians and fans alike with their uncompromising spirit and DIY ethos. The PITP pre-party will be headlined by Suicidal Tendencies and Guttermouth, two later yet just as influential punk bands from the 80s and 90’s. More artists are set to be announced closer to the festival date.
