Headliners, Rising Stars, and Must-See Sets

Same Same But Different Festival Hits Lake Perris, CA September 26-28, 2025

LSDREAM, formerly known as Brillz, returns to the Same Same But Different festival as a duo called LSZEE, alongside CloZee, a French producer and multi-instrumentalist, known for blending world music influences with electronic bass and organic instrumentation.

A classical guitar prodigy, CloZee transitioned to electronic production and quickly became known for her cinematic, multicultural sound. Her genre-defying style, often called “world bass”, fuses glitch, tribal percussion, and melodic textures drawn from her global travels that compliments LSDREAM’s heavy bass with visuals themed around higher consciousness, ancient civilizations, and altered states of mind.

Both LSDREAM and CloZee represent a conscious evolution in bass music, where the experience extends far beyond the drop—into realms of healing, self-discovery, and cosmic connection. They’re frequent favorites at festivals like Same Same But Different, where their vibe perfectly complements the lakeside, immersive environment under the star filled night sky.

Stopping by amongst their world tour, Zeds Dead is a no brainer when it comes to talent exhibited at a bass heavy festival. Zeds Dead is a highly influential Canadian DJ and producer duo originating from Toronto, formed in 2009 and have since become staples in the global electronic music scene.

The range that these two portray during their sets is vast, from dubstep, drum and bass, trap, house, and hip hop, the way the songs in their sets transition from one to another is flawless, to say the least. The success and popularity they hold can be recognized by their own record label Deadbeats, which has become a hub for cutting-edge bass artists including Subtronics, Rusko, Blanke, and many more.

Underrated and Up-and-Coming Artists

Same Same But Different is a platform for discovering fresh talent. In previous years, acts such as Mindchatter have delivered emorable performances, like a serene sunrise set on Nakey Island. The festival’s commitment to spotlighting emerging artists ensures that festival goers will encounter new and exciting sounds throughout the weekend. Keep an eye out for the duo 8Ö8, featuring Shöckface and ero808.

Shöckface is an American producer and DJ, renowned for his fusion of trap and future bass sounds, while ero808 is a vocalist and producer known for his hypnotic vocal style that seamlessly blends elements of electronic, hip-hop, and R&B. Together, they have crafted songs that address personal and industry challenges, delivering messages of resilience and growth, encouraging positivity through dance amongst the crowd.

Another must see on our list, MNTRA B2B TCHiLT; both part of a modern electronic band named Boiz House, MNTRA’s musical journey is rooted in classical percussion training from East Asia and formal education at Icon Collective. This diverse background informs his unique soundscapes and rhythmic complexity, combining genres anywhere between tech house, electro swing, and drum & bass.

TCHiLT has over a decade of music writing experience and six years dedicated to dance music production with a distinctive sound characterized by throbbing beats, some old school funk, and groovy house tunes. Both MNTRA and TCHiLT bring innovative sounds to the electronic music landscape, making them artists to watch in the evolving scene.

Another honorable mention about this festival is their constant dedication to sustainability.

At Same Same But Different, each ticket that is purchased, a tree is planted, currently totaling over 25,000 trees!

Also, continued efforts by the “leave no trace policy,” every single trash can gets sorted…by hand. They do this so bottles, cans, cardboard, and compost don’t end up in the wrong place.

Thanks to this hands-on approach, in 2024 Same Same But Different diverted 1,120 pounds of cardboard, 828 pounds of aluminum, 283 pounds of plastic and 773 pounds of glass from the landfill, that’s one massive footprint the community didn’t leave on the planet.

“This commitment ensures that the only traces we leave are the joyful footprints of our dance.”
