Bellingham Washington’s SAFE TRVLS is one artist who is sticking out and making huge moves for himself. Today, he releases his self-produced alternative r&b track “Hold Me Down.” It is a very melancholy song with great reverb and effects on the voice. With a moving guitar progression containing a lot of reverb effects, it was a delightful shock to hear it be put on top of a trap-style drum beat. Moreover, his voice effortlessly floats on top of the ambient beat.
The music has a very melancholy feel. However, SAFE TRVLS sings the first line with confidence “Told my baby I ain’t nothin’ like the last one.” “Hold Me Down” is a track you are going to want in your playlist.
Who is SAFE TRVLS
SAFE TRVLS is someone who had found his passion for making music early in high school when he started writing poetry. However, he didn’t start taking music seriously until his college days where he met Rosie Matsumoto, a member of the duo Lonely Together.
After being in numerous projects that fell off with no real progress, SAFE TRVLS made the decision to not rely on anybody else for his musical success. He decided to take matters into his own hand and hustled to get himself his own in-home music studio in 2017. This passion for music-making made him into a producer and engineer. He pushes himself to be the best, now that he relies on himself to do most of the leg work.
SAFE TRVLS aims to show the world that there are different aspects to being successful as a singer-songwriter/self-producing rapper. He wears his heart on his sleeve as well as his journey and can’t hide his hustle or success.
“Hold Me Down” was co-produced by Deemax and Mastered by Sendai Mike.
