The day music lovers have been waiting for is here! Live Nature Urban & The Roots have announced their lineup for this year’s addition of the Roots Picnic. D’Angelo with The Roots, Meek Mill and Lenny Kravitz are slated as headlining acts. The festival will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on May 31st and June 1st at the Mann in Fairmount park.
In addition to the headliners, Glorilla, Latto, Kaytranada, are also set to take the stages. Emerging stars Lay Banks, Laila!, and Kur are also tabbed to perform during the weekend. Multi-platinum recording artist Music Soulchild will celebrate 25 years of his album entitled AIJUSWANASEING , while The Roots will also celebrate 30 Years of their album Do you Want More? Rooted in Culture
The festival typically hosts around 60,000 attendees in the two-day span of performances. Local Philadelphia businesses benefit tremendously from the economic impact Roots Picnic creates. In 2024 RMR attended the annual hip hop festival, and it was mind blowing to say the least. Acts like Gunna, Jill Scott, Lil Wayne, Sexy Redd brung unmatched vibes to the city of brotherly love. 2025 Roots Picnic Information
Aside from the slated headlining acts, Miguel, Jeezy, Pusha T, 2 Chainz will also perform. Adam Blackstone and legendary r&b group Jagged Edge will grace the stage together.
The festival will celebrate the rich history of black culture in music, and serve as a positive outlet for the Philadelphia community.
