For consumers exploring the shelves of Oregon dispensaries, Rebel Spirit continues to deliver a lineup of flower and prerolls that reflect the brand’s philosophy. Cannabis should be farmed and grown with love, shared with the community, and experienced with freedom.
Rebel Spirit continues to demonstrate that they represent some of the best of what craft sungrown cannabis really can be, and recently Diane and Chris, the husband and wife super-duo that owns and operates Rebel Spirit, popped on the Respect My Region podcast to talk about what’s new with their team, and a focus on their expansion to South America.
Across the Pacific Northwest, cannabis culture carries a deep connection to land, community, and the long fight for legalization. Few brands embody that history quite like Rebel Spirit. Built in Oregon and rooted in a legacy that stretches back decades, Rebel Spirit is a company shaped by the people who helped carry cannabis culture through prohibition and into the legal era.
Rebel Spirit represents a team committed to protecting the spirit that built the industry in the first place. Their work blends legacy cultivation knowledge with crafty production, keeping a focus on consistently good flower, terpene expression, and sustainable growing practices. This episode discussed updates about their farm, but also shared some exciting bits about the company’s expansion into Peru, one of the few South American countries with a growing cannabis market and industry.
A Brand Built From Legacy and Resistance
The story behind Rebel Spirit begins with a figure known simply as Uncle Mark. His influence helped inspire a generation of cannabis advocates who believed deeply in the plant and its power to create change. Today, the company continues to honor that legacy through cultivation, education, and a commitment to the culture that helped build the legal cannabis industry.
Located in Oregon’s Willamette Valley, Rebel Spirit emerged as one of the early licensed growers in the state’s recreational market. The brand carries a mission that goes beyond profit margins. It is built around preserving the voices and stories of the people who fought through decades of prohibition and stigma to push cannabis forward. It is built around their style of farming and the belief systems they stand for and represent day in and day out.
Legacy still guides the company today, even as it expands into other countries and regions.
In a space that moves fast and often favors hype over history, Rebel Spirit continues to anchor its identity in the culture that shaped the modern cannabis movement.

Cultivation Driven by Genetics and Terpenes
At the heart of Rebel Spirit is a cultivation program that places heavy focus on farming and stable genetics. The company has spent years cultivating quality cannabis and breeding proprietary strains designed to produce strong cannabinoid levels while delivering complex terpene profiles that stand out in competitive markets.
Their farm has earned recognition within Oregon’s cannabis scene not just as a family brand, or woman-owned business, but as a great brand with quality flower and prerolls.
These genetics are not simply developed for one harvest cycle. Rebel Spirit’s cultivation philosophy centers around hardy plants that perform consistently while maintaining flavor, potency, and yield. This approach helps ensure their strains perform across different grow environments while preserving the aromatic qualities consumers expect from top shelf flower.
Popular cultivars in the Rebel Spirit lineup include strains like Frosty Jesus, Rebel Berry OG, Thunderbird Rose, and Rebel Tangie Kandy. Each reflects the brand’s focus on flavor driven cannabis that delivers memorable terpene expression alongside balanced cannabinoid content.
While the brand’s roots remain in Oregon, Rebel Spirit continues to expand its reach through partnerships, genetics licensing, and product distribution. It was strains like the Frosty Jesus and Rebel Berry OG that caught the attention of cannabis entrepreneur, Jose Escalante of Futura Farms in Peru.
According to Diane and Chris of Rebel Spirit, they decided to go to a respected terpene company in Colorado so they could scientifically map out and identify all of the terpenes and cannabinoids in the Frosty Jesus strain. This was to be used to create a consistent terpene profile of the strain so that it could be legally sent to Peru to be mixed with distillate cannabis oil for vapes as part of the country’s legal cannabis program.
Pre rolls remain one of Rebel Spirit’s most recognized product formats but is not currently available in Peru.
The company produces incredible joint packs using proprietary strains and precisely ground flower to ensure consistent burn and smooth smoke. These products have earned recognition across Oregon dispensaries and remain a staple among consumers looking for reliable pre roll options.
Expanding the Rebel Spirit Community
Their farm operations and cultivation work remain connected to the Pacific Northwest, a region known for producing some of the most respected cannabis in the country. Oregon’s environment, combined with a deep bench of legacy growers, creates a setting where cannabis genetics can thrive.
Rebel Spirit has built its reputation in that ecosystem. The brand now works with retailers and partners across the region to bring its products to more consumers while maintaining the culture driven values that built the company.
The goal is not simply expansion for the sake of growth. Instead, Rebel Spirit aims to continue spreading the philosophy that shaped its founding.
Cannabis should remain connected to people, community, and the freedom that the plant has always represented.
The cannabis industry continues to evolve at a rapid pace. New markets open, regulations shift, and brands compete for attention on crowded dispensary shelves.
Through all of that change, Rebel Spirit has stayed grounded in the principles that built the company. Respect the culture. Protect the genetics. Honor the people who fought for legalization.
From the story of Uncle Mark to award winning strains and Oregon grown products, Rebel Spirit continues to represent a part of cannabis culture that refuses to fade away.
For consumers exploring the West Coast cannabis scene, Rebel Spirit offers more than just another brand. It offers a connection to the history, passion, and rebellious energy that helped bring the plant into the modern era.
And that spirit is still alive today.
