Golden Goat from Cowlitz Gold is a Sativa dominant hybrid with Hawaiian roots. The packaging posed quite the problem though, and maybe it was a fluke, but I’ll admit that at times, I struggle opening marijuana packaging, however, I have never had to take scissors to packaging to get it open. Once I got the package open I was pleasantly surprised at what I saw and smelled, even with my plugged up nose I was able to detect the odor.
When I broke open my first nug for my bong I found them hard to break apart and dense. They released a citrus smell into the air that took me back to times spent on the beach in Maui enjoying tropical fruit and the sound of waves crashing against the beach. The buds were a lighter shade of green and covered in orange hairs with faint spots of Trichomes. Upon smoking, there was a heavy tropical sweet citrus taste that I instantly noticed as I took a fat bong rip.
Instantly I felt my energy levels go up and my mood elevated along with my energy levels. I had some new energy that my attention started being diverted to all kinds of things, from my phone, to the Cubs game, and to this review. I was unable to focus on one thing for a long period of time. I couldn’t even make a decision on what I wanted to eat for dinner, but the munchies were fairly intense and I found myself heating up some delicious tamales from Costco. The quality of the weed and the enjoyable high definitely made up for the frustrations in packaging.
