Raz Simone finished his Cognitive Dissonance release with the final product! The time has come to grab the whole project for free at Raz Simone’s website. Raz did an interesting marketing strategy by releasing one track from the project a week to build some hype for the follow up to his 2014 Cognitive Dissonance Part I.

Raz starts off Part II of Cognitive Dissonance, where the first one left off. The production has stepped up but never lacked on the first installment. Raz keeps his emotional and poetic delivery in tact while intertwining commercial appeal and catchy hooks over very lush production. I personally thought the first installment of the series was very one-deminsonal and while very powerful never gave us more than one look at Raz’s mind. This project does dive deeper, and there can’t be enough said about the depth of the production on the album. The theme of our contradictory nature was very apparent on both projects like the title should suggest but part II has more song depth to it. The song development and pre-post in song interludes really take listeners on a ride through multiple looks at the same thoughts and build/subtract beautifully. Cognitive Dissonance Part II as a whole has and incredible cohesiveness while providing multiple ‘sounds’ and still sounding like Raz Simone. I think this project is a perfect progression for Raz as an artist and executive producer. Previous fans should be delighted while new listeners have a whole project to fall in love with. From the lush music to tales of triumph, to the despair from the ugliest of hoods, and questioning the choices we all internally face…this project is truly 10 tracks of Cognitive Dissonance.
