Rasheed Jamal slides through with a new visual from his 2017 album Indigo Child (U Ain’t The Only 1!). “FWM” finds the viewer peeping the visual upside down.
There are a few reasons for presenting in this way. The most obvious is that our eyes actually see the world upside down and our brains flip the image. Besides that, it’s a social critique that things in society seem to be “upside down” like Stranger Things. We were watching videos about the Mandela Effect on the iPad while we were shooting it.
Rasheed is a unique Northwest talent, he brings a Southern seasoning to our fresh organic sound. Distorted bass and adlibs, that aren’t regularly seen in our region, are mixed in with lyrical substance and a stream of conscious thoughts.

Indigo Child is the middle release of a three-part album series that started with SANKOFA. 22 Grams (iAMTHATiAM) will be the final release in this trilogy of releases.
