Hip-hop is without a doubt the most influential genre of music that exists today. For listeners, rappers may be the reason why some of you drink as much Hennessy or smoke as many Backwoods or Swisher Sweets as you do.
For non-hip-hop listeners, they’re probably the reason why you’ve found yourself saying lit, or have made the attempt to dab, whip or nae-nae.
Fashion is at the forefront of these influences. Whether you’re hearing about Goyard Bags or Gucci flip flops, staying fresh has always been apart of what makes an MC.
But as influential as hip-hop can be, I don’t think hype beasts will be gravitating towards the release of the new Ozweego Raf Simon Sneakers.
These shoes look like they belong on the kid who wore high-water khakis every day, had a rolling backpack and always got tagged first at recess. With a price tag of $415, these better give you the ability to slam from the 3-point line.
A$AP Rocky just dropped a new record featuring Frank Ocean, Lil Uzi Vert & Quavo titled RAF – an ode to the Belgian fashion designer. This record is the epitome of being braggadocious on a track about designer wear.
