We’re tapping in popular North Carolina rapper QU/NTEN and his latest music video “3 Peat.” We’ve covered this rising artist several times before; most recently with his track “2 Gone,” inspired by Jack Harlow and Tory Lanez. “3 Peat” has a similar confident and almost cocky energy that we’ve seen QU/NTEN grow into over the last couple of years.
He doesn’t go over the top with it, but you can tell he’s comfortable in his own skin. QU/NTEN is truly beginning to find his identity as an artist, while simultaneously bringing his music to the next level. The beat has an anthemic punch to it and is reminiscent of Jay Rock’s 2018 hit “Win,” but with a more subtle approach; Jay Rock does more of a holler into the mic. QU/NTEN takes a harmonic approach, rapping with more of a Future flow.
“Did A 3 Peat Last Year, I Ain’t Missed Since”
With “3 Peat” being QU/NTEN’s first drop of 2022, it will be exciting to see what he does from here forward off of the momentum. Especially with him being based out of North Carolina, a state that recently produced potential superstars to-be Morray and Toosii, as well as mainstream artists like J. Cole and DaBaby. The possibilities are endless for the young artist, who turned 21 just a couple of weeks ago. As he plots his next move, you can’t help but wonder what could be next for QU/NTEN.
If you like “3 Peat,” then check out some of his other music we’ve covered here. Even going back to his first track we covered, “Route 66,” it’s always been clear that QU/NTEN has a natural musical talent. Now, we are getting to see him refine and grow within that as he carves out his place in hip-hop.
