21-year-old bilingual hip-hop artist, Dario Montero aka Prznt, has at last let loose his debut EP, “Stay For The View.” The Floridian artist originally from Cuba has built an incredibly large fan base off of minimal features and a slew of hit singles in the last year.
Off of these singles and some accompanying entrancing visuals alone, Prznt has amassed millions of streams and hundreds of thousands of fans. He’s even become verified on Instagram. All of this in a little over a year. This among many reasons are what makes the release of “Stay For The View” so special.
Moving to Florida when he was six, Prznt, his mother and younger sister began a new life. As he grew up in Florida, Prznt became obsessed with American pop culture and influential artists such as Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, and Drake. In addition to the palpable struggles he was facing as a youth with school, family, and life, it has made his music moody, honest, relatable, and hard-hitting.
His career began to take tremendous leaps and bounds in the last year under the management of @plugintheox. He’s since made the move from Florida to Los Angeles to truly focus on his career and developing his personal brand.
Prznt
Growing up in a place where people end up stuck more often than making a name for themselves, Prznt has an uncanny drive to succeed. Some of the bedroom bangers he made from the beginning of his young career emphasize his potential and burning desire. Songs he made back then such as “Laudy Daudy” and “Alone,” have come to run up millions of streams across multiple platforms. With the release of his debut EP, it’s safe to assume Prznt seeks to bring the listener into his world to create a unique listening experience.
The EP spans 6 songs, with each one revealing a deeper layer of Prznt’s artistic story. You’ll find haunting yet melodic samples over booming production all the way to sultry acoustic guitar lines. Each seamlessly weave together to form a narrative arc that takes many twists and turns. Sometimes you’ll find yourself getting lit, while other tracks may take you deep into your feelings. Listen below and find out how why you should “Stay For The View.”
