After touring Pot Of Gold’s facility, I was excited to experience one of their signature strains. Known for knocking people out and helping with sleep, Purple Punch is one of Pot Of Gold’s signature strains. A combination of Larry OG and Granddaddy Purple. I’ve never smoked Larry OG, but Granddaddy Purple packs quite the punch and typically leaves me glued to my couch.
Utilizing a classy glass jar a simple P laid over a G immediately catches your eye on the label. Pot Of Gold is written underneath. The font is exceptionally sophisticated and should be reserved for high-class cannabis, which this definitely is. There is a certain amount of love that the crew at the farm has for their cannabis products and that transfers into what they deliver to the stores. Manicured to perfection by trimming their cannabis by hand.
Opening the jar I immediately noticed a sugary grape aroma floating towards my nose. I’d almost compare the flavor to the taste of those cotton candy grapes you can occasionally find at grocery stores. Rock hard nugs covered in a scattered combination of green with subtle hints of purple lay in the bottom of the jar. I loaded a bowl into my bong and took a fat rip. It was as if I was eating grapes coated in sugar. If those got you high, I would imagine this is what it would taste like. Vegging out on my couch covered the entire duration of the high.
