Pearl Jam just announced that they will be playing not one, but two shows in Seattle later this summer. The two performances will be known as The Home Shows and they will be held at Safeco Field.
Being a Seattle-based band and refraining from performing in the Northwest for over five years, they wanted to make both shows extra special. The band has pledged to address Seattle’s homeless issue by using over $1 million from the event to face the city’s current epidemic.
On top of the $1 million contribution, the band hopes to raise $10 million over the course of 2018 with the help of other businesses, charities and government contributions to push for an end to the homeless epidemic. The band is thrilled to be hosting two epic evenings in their hometown. They have noted that The Home Shows are going to be the biggest headlining acts in the Northwest since the Rolling Stones at the Kingdome in 1981.
