DNA Gardens keeps showing up in stores and on my Instagram feed. Their products are delicious and come in at a manageable price point. The price point is what really gets me, especially with Christmas around the corner. Their Orange Widow is a strain I’ve had in concentrate form, but not in flower. When I found the flower I was excited to see how it paired up to the concentrate. The genetics might be unknown, but it is a 70/30 indica hybrid strain.
Using a glass jar to package their product DNA gardens uses a similar label concept as their concentrates. The only difference is that the background on this seems to be a metallic blue. Inside the jar lays one large one gram nug, probably big enough to get a blunt out of. The orange smell isn’t as dominant as it was with the concentrate. Bringing the nug to my nose produced a heavy artificial orange aroma.
I broke off a piece of the light green nug and loaded it into my pipe. Using a hemp wick, to preserve the flavor, I was able to taste the orange goodness hit all my taste buds. The orange aroma lingered on my fingers for a while, it was a pleasant smell as I got my smoking supplies situated. The balance of the orange flavor in this strain is perfect. Immediately my eyelids became moderately heavy and the munchies started to kick in. Luckily I was making a stir fry and was prepared for the inevitable munchies.
