Circling back on another list we wrote a few months, this time we are narrowing our focus on South Carolina’s Nyketown Ju. He first caught our attention with catchy flows and his vicious approach to a beat. Noted previously for having a kind of Young Dolph/DaBaby-type energy about him. He’s a flashy artist that lets you know that he’s about his business and keeping it as real as it gets.
Check out this music video, “Watts 2 Nyketown,” that first caught our eye and put the team on to Nyketown Ju. A wavier but still hard-hitting track, it’s a great example of Ju’s versatility and knack at music.

Catching Up With Nyketown Ju
Fast forward a few months and Ju’s name is still buzzing so we had to go back and give him a full feature. From the looks of his Instagram, he doesn’t seem to step out a lot. But, when he does he comes correct either some with a clean drip, some new heat for fans, or both.
His latest track, “10x Nominated” came out in March and really hits on that Young Dolph comparison from earlier. He raps about trap life and getting money—things Dolph was always about. Not that Ju is biting in any way, if anything, his energy pays tribute. With Ju’s hard flow and flashy demeanor, it’s not difficult to draw a comparison.

The beat is tough and the use of Church bells creates this hopeful, yet sinister, vibe to the track that most could only imagine compares to the mentality of trapping to make a living. Adding another voice to the streets, Nyketown Ju is finding his way out using what he knows to achieve what he wants.
Check out his latest single below and let us know if we picked the right artist out of South Carolina to highlight today. Or, if there’s someone else popping out there that we should know about let us know in the comments!
