Neko Savvy is a rising spitter in the Texas hip-hop scene. The Dallas native has been garnering ample attention since he dropped a veritably banging EP last year. Continuing with his brand of heavy hitting, bass-driven, and lyrically intense music will be a new EP titled “Neko-Zilla” (produced by Dielog) that’s dropping on the 28th this month.
Last year Savvy put out a five-track EP called “EXPO” that saw production from fellow artist/producer Icon South who’s been low-key thriving. Icon South’s made beats for Trippie Redd, Dom Dollo, Lil Twist, Young Nation, Benny Mayne, and Big Lean to name a few. “EXPO” showcases tasteful production throughout. “10 Toes Down” is the leading cut on the album produced by Icon South. In preparation for the release of the new EP, Neko and Icon South put together some captivating visuals for “10 Toes Down.” Scope the dope whips and fat beats below.
Savvy seems like he’s got a lot of tricks up his sleeve. Not to mention ample content waiting to see the light of day. His producer and manager JACŌBY went on record stating that “we have the power of releasing a single every week for the next two years if we want to with the amount of work we have put in just within the last month.” “Neko-Zilla” will feature the same dark, gritty production as “EXPO” that still leaves you wanting more. According to Neko and his team, the release following “Neko-Zilla” will be showcasing more of Neko Savvy’s versatility beat-wise and vocally. Stay tuned for plenty of big moves from this artist in the coming year.
