Raz Simone pays tribute to a fallen fan in a new music video, “My Child.” Simone reminds us that life is short and unpredictable. When tragedies happen, just keep your head up and keep mobbin.’
The video itself is simple, bouncing between shots of Raz rapping next to his black Tesla and him rapping in the middle of a beachside candlelight vigil. The feel fits most of Raz’s videos. Dark and intimate scenes aimed at enhancing his lyrics and overall message. His videos feel as intimate as his live performances do. Just another storytime with Raz Simone, a real gangster poet.
It’s amazing that Raz cares so much about the fans that he made a song to honor one. This is the type of love and heartfelt shit I’ve come to experience from Seattle hip-hop culture. Check out the video and let us know what you think in the comments below.
