Mulatto on set of "On God"

Mulatto Taps Cole Bennett for Colorful “On God” Clip

Mulatto is proving she has staying power. She’s running it up, and you’re busy running your mouth. Since dropping “Bitch From Da Souf” in 2019, Mulatto has stayed heavy in rotation and on social feeds. Recently selected for the 2020 XXL Freshmen list, her increased visibility is undeniable. Having won the adoration from the public and her peers, earning a cameo in “WAP”, it seems Alyssa Stephens is everywhere!

Mulatto, hot off the release of her EP Queen of Da Souf, keeps the heat flowing with “On God”. The track, from producers Bankroll Got It and Diego Ave, samples the Lil’ Jon produced Ying Yang Twins smash hit “Salt Shaker,” and interpolates “Milkshake” from Kelis. An instant fan favorite, the song is on track to be one of her most popular.

The video takes place across different color-coordinated sets, reminiscent of “WAP”, and shows Mulatto dominating. From the bathroom to the Bentayga – she turns the tables and reverses the stereotypical gender roles in hip-hop videos. Fans in the comments have described it as “WAP: The Lyrical Lemonade Edition” and we’d have to agree. The impact of Cardi and Megan is real.
