A somber guitar sets the tone as the camera zooms in on MistaDC sitting on a bed. His dreamy voice fills your chest up until your emotions start to overflow. The haunting imagery created by Justin Frick lingers in your mind long after the video ends. This new MistaDC music video for “Get Out” has blown my mind on multiple levels.

The song alone is extremely powerful. I feel as though every adult can relate to those times where your inner demons are too overwhelming. They start to feel like that little kid again who’s too scared to look under the bed in fear that the monster that is life will swallow them whole.
In addition to being vocally talented, MistaDC delivers a passionate performance that reflects the vibe of the song. Pair that with the ridiculous camera skills that Justin brings and you get pure brilliance. There are some standout moments that will resonate with me forever; when he jumps up out of bed and when he yells leading into the last run of the chorus. Absolutely stunning.
