Meek Mill has released a new project in the form of an EP titled Legends of the Summer, which is the first project we’ve seen from him since being released from jail. While it showcases his classic hard-hitting flow from start to finish, the project surprisingly provides an array of genres and styles showcased throughout.
Aside from the variety of sounds that are heard from start to finish, Meek Mill adds a ton of features to the project which includes Miguel, Jeremih, PnB Rock, and Swizz Beatz. The lyrical components to Legends of the Summer also contain a fair amount of variety by having thoughts about his position in the rap game to talking about more politically charged themes.
Throughout the project, the most upbeat songs can be heard with the Swizz Beatz produced “Millidelphia” and the club driven cut “1 am”. The core of the project is encompassed around the last track on the album “Stay Woke”, as Meek Mill shares his thoughts on America that includes the main theme of police brutality.
Meek Mill has made it extremely clear that he’s ready to move forward and maintain his high position in the rap game. By talking about important political topics and providing bangers that all Meek Mill fans expect, there is something for every hip-hop fan on his new project.
