MCVERTT has delivered the visuals for his claim on song of the summer, “FACE DOWN.” Before releasing the song, MCVERTT, made it clear that a music video would follow when he posted a picture featuring both Ferg and Sexyy Red.
After producing Lil Uzi’s smash hit “Just Wanna Rock,” MCVERTT has continued to work by lending his talents to fellow New Jersey artists such as B-Lovee and the Defiant Presents backed mixtape, Jiggy In Jersey. New Jersey’s club music has finally reached the masses of a mainstream audience and MCVERTT is leading the charge.
The video provides an illustration of the Jersey club/ New York drill hybrid sound evokes in listeners. It’s movement and dance-heavy but not choreographed. MCVERTT played the game right by utilizing Ferg’s star power to give a voice to the beat. Having Ferg amongst the performers sets the tone that everyone better bring their best if they step up to dance.
At the same time, tapping into the rising star power of Sexyy Red opens the door to both the entire Midwest region. Even without the main acts, this music video would still be just as free and fun as the MCVERTT-produced beat intends for it to be.
If all else fails, Ferg paying homage and respect to Uncle Luke’s classic line is enough to make this song a h it. Jersey, you got another one.Be sure to check out the full “FACE DOWN” video below.
