McDonald’s All-American Games Clearing for Lift Off in Houston

The Toyota Center in Houston, Texas will host the 2024 McDonald’s All-American games. The games will showcase the top 24 boys’ and girls’ basketball players on the high school level. Cooper Flagg, Ace Bailey, Sarah Strong, Me’ Arah O’Neal, and Dylan Harper are a few star-studded slated participants. Both games will take place April 2nd starting at 6:30 p.m. ET. The girls will be playing on ESPN 2, which will be followed immediately by the guy’s game. The boy’s game will be on ESPN at 9:00 p.m. ET. Check out the full reveal of the roster below.

For the last 46 years, the McDonald’s All-American game has been around for the boy’s side of things. On the women’s side, they are approaching their 23rd installment. Notable alums include the likes of LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Candace Parker, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Maya Moore, Carmelo Anthony, Kyrie Irving, and Breanna Stewart. The prestigious showcase is a pipeline for the world to see the NCAA, NBA and WNBA stars of tomorrow.

Boys Game

There are 5 colleges (Duke, Rutgers, Kentucky, Alabama, North Carolina) with multiple recruits to be featured in this year’s games. Duke currently has the record (92) for most MCDAAG participants thanks to prospects like Zion Williamson, Jason Tatum, Kyrie Irving and most recently 2024 selections Isaiah Evans and Cooper Flagg. Boys East Team coach is Sharman White of Pace Academy in Georgia. The Boy’s West Team coach will be Tommy Brakel of North Crowley High School in Texas.

Girls Game

14 college programs will be represented in this year’s game with all 24 players being ranked top 35 in the country. USC leads the way with 3 commits playing in the games (Kayleigh Heckel, Avery Howell, and Kennedy Smith) with 6 other programs (Texas, UConn, UCLA, Florida, and Michigan) having 2 selectees. Girls East Team coach, Fran Burbidge of Westtown School in Pennsylvania. Girls West Team coach, Ann Fritz of Blue Valley North High School in Kansas.
