Award-Winning Songwriter Matt Epp Releases New Album “Shadowlands”

Singer-songwriter Matt Epp just released his latest album “Shadowlands,” an Americana, roots-rock, folk collection that Matt leads with his brilliant lyrical showcasing.

Born in the Canadian prairies, Matt’s singing has made him known by fans across the world. Epp has a pitch to his voice that can either feel incredibly heavy or lift you right off your feet. His Americana style is full of character, and his finely honed singing ability should not be overlooked.

Our favorite track on this album was the opener “Runaway” for its energetic, upbeat, sound and roughneck lyrics. “May I Have This Dance” is also an instant classic for its passion and storytelling abilities as Matt seeks to keep his hopes for an old lover from unraveling.

Matt Epp sounds similar to artists such as Ryan Adams, John Mayer, and Neil Young. He’s won various awards for singing and songwriting in Canada, such as Unsigned Only Music Comp (2017), International Songwriting Competition (2017), Unsigned Only Music Comp (2017), and other awards and nominations that go back as far as 2010.
