All I could smell was chicken strips and cannabis. The Nectar Lounge was packed out on a Friday night while my ears were being showered in funk as I watched the brand new single from Marshall Law Band “Runnin” be performed live.

This was one of those shows that gets me feeling emotional. Even when MLB was sound checking they were entertaining to watch. Their charisma on stage is unrivaled and they have the talent to match. It takes great skill to deal with Marshall’s spontaneous nature. The bass player, Evan, is basically an Ent on stage, yet he manages to take up the least amount of room and swerves around Marshall’s wild antics like they’re choreographed.
They’re so insanely fun to watch live that by the end of their set the entire room was smiling and dancing. At one point the guitarist, Josh, was bouncing smiley face balloons off of his fret board. The energy in the building was undeniable. As is the infectious groove this six piece band creates.
