Mariah The Scientist showed up and showed out following last Friday night’s performance. The captivating essence of her voice left San Diego in awe. With a sold out show, this was a night to remember.
As a first time viewer of Mariah The Scientist’s live show I was impressed by her vocal range throughout her set. With a strong opening performance by Ryan Trey , the crowd was no less than ready once the lights dimmed prior to Mariah taking the stage.

The Mariah The Scientist Experience
As the room got dark following Ryan Trey’s opening performance the room filled with screams of excitement. Taking the stage and opening up with Good Times her presence lit up the room . Mariah introduced herself with slow paced lyrics and a relaxing r&b style of music. Being my first time witnessing her live, her voice had me engaged throughout each song she played
If you have never been to one of her shows you can expect to have a sold out show with most of the people in attendance singing along. Popular songs of hers that stood out to me were 2 You and Spread Thin. These two felt the most emotional and personal that the audience could connect to.
Highlights throughout the night for me were Mariah taking people’s phones on stage and making videos while performing while the crowd was in the background. The passion of which she sings her songs and lays her vocals out was also a favorite part of my experience. Regardless of her music being more slower paced, personal, and intimate, the energy continued to grow as the night went on.
