Manila Killa had released his debut EP, 1993, earlier this year after putting out remixes and tracks for years. After splitting up Hotel Garuda, he was able to devote all of his time and energy into his solo project. His debut EP was an incredible piece of work as it mixes together upbeat sounds with emotional and melancholy lyrics and vocals.
Manila Killa had a good read on the crowd’s energy. Not only did he play his own well-known tracks, but he also mixed in other classic EDM tracks. The excitement and positive energy from the crowd was contagious. Manila Killa is genuine in his performance and took time to thank his fans and show appreciate for Seattle. He teared up as he performed “Skins,” off of his latest EP, to end the night as the crowd experienced the flood of emotions with him.
Manila Killa continues to tour across the United States, and I recommend everyone who hasn’t seen him live yet to give him a chance. His stage production and set brought an uplifting experience. You can check out the tour dates on his website and get tickets for upcoming dates. Make sure to keep an eye on the talented artist as he’s on the rise.
