Xavier Weeks, Keezy Kay, L$P and More Mesmerize in This Week’s Local Music Wednesday

To all you lovely people at home that make up RMR Nation, brace yourselves for something really special this week for Local Music Wednesday! Each and every one of these picks this week are so individualistic and attention-grabbing from L$P to Zay Wonder. It’s incredible to think this much talent continues to hail from the likes of Seattle, Tacoma, and other greats in the Pacific Northwest. The best part is, these artists are showing no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Local Music Wednesday Ft. L$P, Zay Wonder, Xavier Weeks, + More

We’re All Human, Xavier Weeks

We’re starting off BIG this week with an album so diverse in sound for each track, it’s hard not to find something for everyone to like about it. We’re All Human is such a multifaceted creation by Xavier Weeks showcasing hip-hop, pop, and melodic EDM. You know you’re in for something different as soon as you hear the trippy intro and this guy knows how to keep you interested to the very end.

“Impatient feat. Pistol P,” Darealkeshaun

This new release immediately grabs your attention with fire vocals, and it just hooks you even more from there with a deep bass followed by sick bars. Darealkeshaun and Pistol P bounce off of each other so naturally in this song making it a collaboration you can’t miss. All this back up with catchy piano in the background, we dare you not to bop your head to this one.

“No Hook, Part 2,” Keezy Kay

This Cityscape Sessions with Keezy Kay will blow you away. This woman makes it clear she’s a boss not just in the words she’s rapping, but in her delivery as well. The lyrics flow for this rapper so quickly and gracefully while at the same time being hard as hell.

“Rich Tendencies,” BRELLOO

Ivan Shoots shot a clean ass video here with BRELLOO for this new single that could easily be considered an anthem for all of us with expensive taste and no shame for it. “Rich Tendencies,” brings a mellow vibe that’s great for when you’re rolling up that end of the day blunt. An honorable mention is that sick Eldorado that BRELLOO color coordinated with like a badass.

4th of Juugly, Lroc

Lroc’s come out with an EP produced by Mvllah, and they came out real strong with this project! The beginning is haunting but in the best way with special sound effects making the vocals seem otherworldly. While Lroc may have gone all out on his verses, he maintains a laid back and relaxing tone throughout each number.

“I’m Back Freestyle,” RBREEZY

RBREEZY’s latest music video produced by K3ONO and shot by Lethal Slime is one you’ll want to put on repeat because one time isn’t enough. This is a perfect tune to turn up to on a night out. The Matrix-esque visuals were a sweet aesthetic too, not gonna lie!

U Don’t Know the Half, Zay Wonder

There’s something theatrical about the samples Zay Wonder uses in his new EP, U Don’t Know the Half. We here at Respect My Region are definitely not surprised though. This rapper has such a talent for mixing unique tones into his swift lines that he drops with undeniable passion for the stories he’s telling.

“X: Call Me W$LF,” L$P

If you like a little bit of an alternative twist to your hip-hop, you should absolutely give L$P’s latest a listen! Available for pre-save on Spotify and Apple Music, X: Call Me W$LF is gritty and steely with no shortage of rhythm. The darker twist on such a swift beat is what makes this single and L$P in general so engaging and memorable.

That wraps it up for this week’s Local Music Wednesday. I can’t wait to see what else we get from Keezy Kay, L$P, Darealkeshaun and all the rest of these skilled artists from the PNW. Be sure to check back next week to find even more local talent to support!
