Calling all rhythm and blues lovers! The annual Lovers & Friends Festival is returning to Las Vegas for its 3rd installment. The festival will take place on May 4th at Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Usher, Janet Jackson, Backstreet Boys are just a few star-studded guests scheduled to perform.
Usher will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of his Confessions album by performing it entirely. Rapper Lil Wayne is also set to perform his entire set of Tha Carter III; a Grammy winning album. To see the full lineup check out the post below.
About The Lovers and Friends Festival
Usher and his partner Jeffrey Shuman (VP of Live Nation) came up with the idea. They wanted to showcase the success of R&B over the last 20 plus years. The name comes from the 2004 single, released by Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz, which features Usher and Ludacris. The three acts took the stage in the inaugural year to perform it for fans.
Lovers & Friends Festival began in 2022 after previous years were rescheduled due to Covid. Lauryn Hill, TLC, Usher, Ciara, Nelly, Ashanti, are just a few of the talented acts that performed. The festival was cut short due gunshots being heard, but 2023’s edition had no problem.
In 2023, Missy Elliott, Mariah Carey, Usher, Chris Brown, 50 Cent, Jhene Aiko, were some of the memorable performances from year 2. Over 45 acts performed in last year’s festivals for over 60,000 on goers. Local businesses and restaurants were able to benefit from the large scale of visitors in the area, thus bring positive economic impact. 2024 Festival Information
